THINK PINK SAMUI PROJECT
Think Pink Samui is an innovative and compassionate initiative led by the Rotary Club of Samui-Phangan (District 3330). We aim to address a critical gap in women’s healthcare on Koh Samui by providing advanced breast imaging services combined with community education and early detection.

THINK PINK SAMUI PROJECT
Why It Matters
- Koh Samui Hospital lacks adequate diagnostic tools like mammography or high-resolution ultrasound for effective breast cancer screening.
- Many women delay seeking care due to travel barriers, cost, or lack of awareness-leading to late-stage diagnoses.
- Early detection is proven to dramatically improve survival rates and treatment options.
Project Components
- Equipment Upgrade: Raise funds to acquire a GE Ultrasound Machine with breast screening capabilities for the hospital.
- Screening Days: Organize regular multilingual screening events (Thai, Burmese, English) targeting local, migrant, and expat women.
- Awareness Campaigns: Distribute educational materials, host talks, and use local media to de-stigmatize breast health and emphasize self-exams.
- Skills Training: Provide training sessions for hospital staff to ensure proper use and maintenance of the new ultrasound equipment.
Impact Goals
- Screen at least 2,000 women per year.
- Provide early diagnosis and referrals, saving lives through prompt intervention.
- Reduce fear and stigma around breast health through outreach in communities.
How to Support
- Financial donations from individuals, businesses, and other clubs.
How to Donate - Rotary partnerships for joint grants or co-sponsorship opportunities.
- In-kind support: volunteering, venue hosting for screening days, or awareness outreach assistance.
